Welcome to Lightbulb Learning Childcare
We are a purpose built and family owned centre located next to Hamlin Hill Regional Park. The centre has been designed with each age group in mind, keeping the numbers of children low in each room. The lovely airy rooms are filled with natural light, with glass doors that open out onto a covered deck and fantastic large play areas. This ensures quality care for each child and offers them lots of exciting choices of play both inside and out.

Individualised learning programme based specifically on your child’s needs. At Lightbulb learning each child has an individual development plan created which is based on their specific needs, their interests and dispositions. They are also involved in group project work which is based on the groups collective interests. The plans are updated every few months to meet the changing needs and level that your child is at.
Fabulous home cooked meals prepared fresh each day by our wonderful chef. Food is included in the fees. We follow a healthy menu that includes all food types with each day introducing different tastes and textures for our youngsters. Each day our children are provided with lots of fresh fruit and a range of vegetarian and meat based lunches. If your child has special eating needs, come and talk to us and we can create a menu to suit their needs.
Focused Literacy Programme for pre-schoolers to prepare them for school. Our literacy programme is a phonics based course that teaches children the letters, the letter sounds, how to form the letters, the correct pencil grip and much more. We move at the children pace, but ensure that they are well prepared for their next step into primary school.

Curriculum
Right throughout their journey at Lightbulb Learning each child will have their own individual learning programme developed for them on a monthly basis. This is based on their own interests, your aspirations and values and the particular dispositions they are developing.
Children are also involved in group learning opportunities. These can develop into project work and set long term goals. Our group interests can also culminate in an exciting excursion to foster more in-depth learning.
